프레이저 밸리 한인회 회칙      The bylaws of the Fraser Valley Korean Association

제1조 본회의 명칭(Name)

본회의 명칭은 프레이저 밸리 한인회 Fraser Valley Korean Association이라 칭한다.

The name of the association shall be called the Fraser Valley Korean Association.

(Here after called the Association)

제2조 본회의 목적(Purpose)

프레이저밸리 지역 내의 한인 상호 친목과 단결을 도모하고 지역 사회 발전에 기여한다.

The purpose of the Association shall be to promote the unity of Korean residents living in FraserValley area in order to enhance their mutual assistance and cooperation.

제3 조 지역범위(Regional Area)

Aldergrove, B.C.로부터 Boston Bar, B.C.지역을 포함하는 프레이저 밸리 지역을 범위로 한다.

FraserValley area that is under the jurisdiction of the Association extends from Aldergrove, B.C. to Boston Bar, B.C.

제4조 회원(Membership)

본회의 회원은 본회의 지역범위 내에서 거주하거나 사업체를 운영하는 자로서 만 18세 이상의 한국계 및 그 배우자(비 한국계 포함)로 한다.

Korean residents living or doing a business in above mentioned area whose age is 18yeares old or older, and his/her spouse are qualified to become members of the Association.

제 5조 회원의 의무(Duties)

회원은 본회의 목적에 적극 참여하며 이사회에 의해 결정되는 년 정기회비를 납부하여야 한다.

Members are required to participate in all activities to fulfill the purpose of the Association and the annual fee decided by the Board of Directors.

 제6조 회비의 결정(Annual Fee)

회비는 이사회에서 결정한다.

The annual fee shall be decided by the Board of Directors.

제 7조 조직구성(Officers)

1. 본회의의 회장은 각 지역대표의 간선에 의해 선출되며 임기는 2년으로 한다.

    The president of the Association shall be elected by a majority of area representatives and his/her term shall be 2 years.

2. 지역대표는 각 지역의 지역회원이 선출하며 임기는 1년으로 하되 연임할 수 있다.

    Area representative shall be elected by the members of their respective area, the term shall be one year and can be     re-elected.

3. 본회의 부회장, 총무, 재무, 섭외는 회장이 임명하며 임기는 회장과 동일하고 부회장은 자동 이사가 된다.

    The Vice President, the Secretary, the Treasurer and the Director of Public Relations shall be appointed by the President     and their terms are the same as that of the President’s.

4. 지역대표의 수는 지역주민 5가구 이상, 10가구 미만일 경우 2명으로 하고 증가되는 매 10가구마다 1명씩 증원한다.

    An area that has more than 5 but less than 10 households can elect 2 area representatives and an additional area     representative shall be granted for every ten households thereafter.

제 8조 회장 선출 방법(Election of the President)

1. 회장 임기 종료 최소 1개월 전에 이사회를 소집하여 무기명 투표방식에 의한다.

    The President shall be elected by secret ballot at least one month prior to the end of the current president’s term.

2. 회장의 추천은 회원 중에서 대내외적으로 유능한 적임자로 한다.

    Any member of the Association can nominate a candidate for the President. The candidate must be a capable person who     can manage effectively internal affairs and represent the Association with dignity in external affairs.

3. 추천 방식은 추천자가 피추천자의 경력을 선거권 자들에게 요약 설명한다.

    In electing the President, the nominator should prepare a brief statement about the career experiences of the nominee for     voters.

4. 피추천자 중에서 이사회의 최다 득표자가 회장으로 선출되며 단일 피추천자의 경우에는 과반수 이사의 지지를 득해야 한다.

    If there is more than one candidate, the one who gains the most number of votes from the member of the Board of Directors     shall be elected as the President, in case of a single candidate, he/she should gain majority vote.

5. 단일 피추천자가 과반수 미달일 경우에는 재투표 방식에 의한다.

    When the single candidate fails to gain a majority vote, the entire election procedure shall be resumed.

제9조 투표권 및 선거 방법(Voting right and election procedure)

1. 각 지역 대표는 1인 1표의 투표권을 갖는다.

    Each area representative shall have one voting right.

2. 투표는 별도로 결의하지 않는 한 무기명 투표방식에 의한다.

    Otherwise stated, voting shall be secret.

3. 위임투표는 인정하지 않는다.

    Voting by proxy shall not be permitted.

제10조 이사회 의장(Chairperson of the Board of Directors)

이사회 의장은 회장이 되며 회장이 결석 또는 유고시 부회장이 의장직을 대행한다.

The President shall preside as the Chairperson and in his/her absence the Vice President shall perform the duties of the president as the Chairperson.

제11 조 회의 소집(Meetings)

1. 본회의 정기총회는 매년 1회 12월 중 실시하는 것을 원칙으로 하며 총회공고는 각 지역 대표를 통하여 홍보한다.

    The annual meeting shall be convened once a year during month of Dec. and should be announced to all members through     area representatives.

2. 이사회는 연 4회 소집하는 것을 원칙으로 하며 회장 및 각 지역대표의 요구에 따라 소집할 수 있다.

    The regular meeting of the Board of Directors shall be convened four times a year and it can be held by request of the     President of area representatives.

3. 장소 및 일자는 이사회에서 결정한다.

    Time and place of each meeting shall be decided by the Board of Directors.

제12조 이사회의 회의 진행(The Board of Directors)

1. 이사회의 구성원은 회장, 부회장, 지역대표로서 구성된다.

    The Board of Directors shall be constituted by the President, Vice President and area representatives.

2. 이사회 구성원의 과반수 이상 참석 시 회의가 성립된다.

    The quorum shall be constituted by a majority of the Board of Directors.

제13조 이사의 임무(Duties of the Board of directors)

이사는 해당 지역주민의 의견을 수렴하여 이사회에 상정하며 이사회에서 결정되는 모든 사항을 지역주민에게 신속히 전달한다.

Each member of the Board of Directors shall be responsible to receive views and opinions expressed by the member of the area he/she represents and present them for discussion at the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors shall be also responsible to inform all members of their areas the issues which where presented, discussed and passed.

제 14조 임원의 의무(Duties of officers)

1. 회장(President)

    - 이사회의 의장

      shall preside at each meeting of the Board of Directors.

    - 본회의 대내외적 대표로서 임무를 수행

       shall perform as the highest executive officer in all internal affairs and also represent the Association in dealing with        external affairs.

    - 본회 관련 제반 업무진행을 관리 감독

        shall supervise all administrative works of the Association.

2. 부회장(Vice President)

    - 회장의 부재시 회장의 임무를 대행

       shall perform all the duties of the President in his/her absence.

3. 총무(Secretary)

    - 본회의
